Kid-isms

Because my days are full of the darndest things that kids say, I thought I would share them with you.

Today we had to do some standardized reading tests for all 5th and 6th graders. After testing this little guy, he looked at me as we were walking back to his class and said, "Mrs. Wynn, can I ask you a question?" "Sure thing, La'Von."
"Why are your hair and eyebrows the same color but your eyelashes are different?"
Needless to say, I chuckled a good 30 seconds before explaining mascara to a 10 year old little boy. I told him without mascara, I would come to school looking like a monster. He just looked at me strangely, gave a little nod and went on his way.

Sarah! I just found your blog through facebook! Thanks for making me laugh out loud. Is this one of the many things you do online at school? I hope so, because I do, too! I have a bloggy, too! We are two cool teachers. I love the mascara story...and literally lol'ed in my classroom. good thing my kids are in PE.

Have a great day!
